About the Company
Our client, a growing global organization in the Energy Services industry, is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join their U.S. operations team based in The Woodlands, Texas. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for a payroll and benefits professional with strong U.S. payroll operations experience and hands-on exposure to benefits administration within a dynamic and growing organization.
Role Overview
As the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll and benefits programs across the United States, while also supporting collaboration with the broader North American HR team.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day U.S. payroll operations, administering employee benefits programs, maintaining payroll data accuracy, and supporting payroll compliance and reporting activities. This role will also partner closely with HR, finance, and operational leaders, ensuring payroll accuracy, strong employee support, and alignment with organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and process U.S. payroll operations for both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
Administer U.S. employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and ongoing benefits management.
Maintain and support payroll processes within the Dayforce HRIS system, responding to inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues.
Perform payroll reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.
Collaborate with internal teams to support payroll reporting, audits, and year-end payroll requirements.
Support employee lifecycle payroll changes, including onboarding, transfers, compensation changes, leaves, and terminations.
Assist in maintaining compliance with U.S. payroll legislation and workplace regulations.
Act as a key resource for payroll and benefits-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and improvement of HR and payroll processes, workflows, and documentation.
Support HR team initiatives and projects as the organization continues to scale and grow.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on U.S. payroll experience supporting both salaried and hourly employees.
Experience administering U.S. employee benefits programs.
Experience working within HRIS/payroll systems such as Dayforce or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of U.S. payroll compliance and payroll processes.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
Exposure to Canadian payroll or benefits administration.
Experience supporting payroll in high-growth or scaling organizations.
Prior experience working in energy, industrial services, or technical services environments.
